ABA Boot Camp : Community Calendar : The Arc of King County

The UW Autism Center offers workshops to prepare individuals to work effectively with children with autism spectrum disorders using evidence-based strategies from principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). These workshops are designed for parents and professionals working in home, birth-to-three, preschool and elementary settings and are led by our multi-disciplinary training team. Clock hours are available upon request. Space is limited!

Please note that these are not BCBA or BCaBA training programs.

ABA Boot Camp

In this 3 day workshop, participants will learn to work effectively with children with autism spectrum disorders using evidence-based strategies from principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Opportunities for hands-on practice and coaching/feedback will be offered. This workshop is appropriate for parents, educators, and providers working with children with ASD between the ages of 0-8. Space is limited! Participants will learn:

How the characteristics of ASD impact learning
What is ABA
How to teach children with ASD using fundamental behavioral strategies
The components of a teaching loop
How to collect and analyze data
Strategies for promoting communication,
Strategies for implementing DTT,
Strategies for implementing naturalistic ABA approaches
About resources available for those working with children with ASD
Day 1 only option: Participants may choose to attend only day 1 of ABA Boot Camp which will cover basic behavioral strategies (overview of ASD, introduction to ABA and the teaching loop) and a live demonstration.

Cost:
Day 1 Only: $155 per person
Days 1-3: $515 per person
