Seattle City Council Candidate Forum on Disability Issues

Image of flyer, with hands holding up ballots

Please join us July 14 for a Seattle candidate forum specific to disability issues.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. ASL interpreters and CART will be provided.

On August 9, voters will decide which finalists will go on to the general election in November. Two of the positions up for vote this year represent the entire city. The other represents Southeast Seattle.

Whether or not communities are accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities comes down to decisions made at the local level. Ensuring our local elected leaders understand and are responsive to the needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is critical, especially in light of pending and proposed federal cuts to housing, healthcare and food assistance.
