Legal Transitions to Adulthood Class with Vietnamese interpretation
In this free virtual class, attorneys present information such as:
• Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
• Benefits through the state Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA)
• Financial planning to stay eligible for benefits
• Supported decision-making (this allows someone with a disability to make choices about their own life with help from supporters they choose)
• Durable powers of attorney (DPOA) - a legal document a person can sign giving someone else authority to make medical decisions or manage finances on the signer's behalf
• Legal guardianship (note: our attorneys cannot help with guardianship paperwork)
