ABA: The Basics
Curious about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)? Do you have a desire to learn and practice evidence-based strategies for teaching children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other related developmental disabilities? If so, this webinar is for you! This training is specifically designed for professionals interacting with preschool and elementary-aged children with ASD. The webinar will begin with a short overview of ASD including core symptoms, strengths, challenges and how ASD symptoms impact learning and behavior. Then, an introduction to ABA will be presented including an overview of different ABA teaching strategies and basic behavioral principles used in this therapeutic approach.

Course Objectives:
1) Learn how the characteristics of ASD impact learning
2) Gain a basic understanding of ABA principles
3) Learn how to use fundamental behavioral strategies including teaching loops, reinforcement, and prompts

Follow-Up Webinars
Have you attended one of the previous ABA Basics workshops? Do you want to dig deeper into specific topics related to ABA? Join 2-hour follow up webinars on teaching strategies and systems related to ABA. These sessions are intended to help participants come away with a deeper understanding of each topic. Attend as many of the follow up sessions as you want (additional regsitration fees apply). Please see the "Sessions" page for topics.

Content level: Beginner

Clock hours: This program, if attended in full, offers a maximum of 22 WA State approved clock hours (6 hours for initial webinar, 2 hours for each follow-up webinar). Additional fees apply. They are NOT approved providers for other CEUs. Certificates of completion will be provided after the workshops.
