health, service, and education. Delta's Animal-Assisted Therapy
Services and Pet Partners Program help people heal through the comfort
and motivation from a specially trained pet (also training and
screening for people who want to visit hospitals, nursing homes, and
other facilities with their animals) . Their website has numerous
articles on research and benefits of relationships with companion
animals, on service dogs that assist people with disabilities, also on
pet loss and bereavement.
