Alternatives is a small agency that has been operating since 1992 in
the Shoreline/North Seattle area providing residential supports to men
and women in their own homes, consisting of both apartments and rented
houses. Program participants range in age from 18 through 67 years,
with varying degrees of developmental disabilities and/or medical and
physical conditions including autism, diabetes, shunts, seizures,
cerebral palsy and behavioral issues. Homes are staffed 24 hours/day,
seven days/week, with a staff to client ratio of 1:3.
