Supported Living

This program is designed to support King County adults with developmental disabilities to live in the community.  Participants in the Supported Living Program are referred by the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).  For information on this and other support options for people with developmental disabilities, contact your DDD Case Manager.  Also, this program accepts self-referrals for private pay.

Each individual participating has a self-directed plan that can include supports:

  • To develop skills in all aspects of home management, personal care, and financial management

  • To learn skills for negotiating bureaucracies, vocational and medical services

  • To develop and maintain relationships, to explore personal growth, and to lead meaningful lives

  • To obtain and manage entitlements (SSI, Medical Coupons, food stamps, housing assistance, etc.)

These services are individualized according to need and personal choice.
