INTRODUCTION TO POSITIVE BEHAVIOR SUPPORT (9AM-12PM; MODULE 1)
This class is both mind set & methods for understanding why challenging behaviors occur, what they "mean" for the person, how to prevent or minimize those behaviors, & how to capitalize on the motivations causing those behaviors to teach & encourage positive alternatives to the challenging behaviors.
WORKING WITH DDD POLICIES ON RESTRICTIVE PROCEDURES, PHYSICAL INTERVENTIONS & PSYCHIATRIC MEDICATIONS (1PM-4PM; MODULE 2)
This class will focus on which providers are required to follow these policies, what providers are required to do when using restrictive procedures, requesting exceptions to policies, & answering your questions about these policies as spoken upon.
REGISTRATION IS FREE! You can register for just the morning session, just afternoon session, or both sessions. To register email the address provided. Please type "Positive" in the subject line & include (1) requesting Module 1, Module 2, or both; (2) the # of people attending & each name; (3) your email address & phone #.
